ミカワバイケイソウ（ユリ科）は多年生草本で、湿地に生える。3月末には芽を出し、5月に開花する。葉は緑鮮やかで形は細長い。花をつける個体では草丈は1mになる。花茎を1本伸ばし、その先端に白い小花を穂状につける。近縁種には高山植物のコバイケイソウがある。寒冷期に低地にあったコバイケイソウは、温暖化に伴い高山に逃げたが、逃げ遅れて進化したものがミカワバイケイソウとされている。このような種を遺存種といっている。ミカワバイケイソウは周伊勢湾要素植物群のひとつで、分布が限られ、保護が必要とされている。葦毛湿原一帯にみられる。
